Painting the joy she finds in everyday life

Juli Luckett is a Christian artist, graphic designer, and children's ministry director living in Harford County, Maryland with her husband Rob, two dogs, Regan and Rufus, and a tripawd cat named Maisy.

She loved drawing and painting as a young girl, filling summer sketchbooks with album covers, portraits, and animals. She studied Art Education in college. After a long break while raising her two sons, she returned to painting in 2018.

In 2019, at Melissa Lyons Art Creative Weekend in Beaufort, South Carolina, she felt God's call to begin a regular painting practice. She paints most mornings, a habit that started with a 20-minutes-a-day challenge and was featured on the Learn to Paint podcast.

Juli paints still life, nature, animals, and abstracts, mainly in acrylic. She also loves experimenting with mixed media, watercolor, and gouache.
